My R-Rated Review: Dior Mascara

Hello everyone,

I want to be completely honest with you and if I lose readers because of this post, then so be it. The following review of Christian Dior: DiorShow Mascara in black is going to be dirty because I cannot think of another way to describe it. You have been warned and yes, I realize I am typically not a dirty blogger, but here ya go.

Ever since my first post about my favorite mascara, I have been tempted to try this mascara. I kept reading review after review and finally decided to give it ago and bought it for $24 at Sephora. When I first opened it up to apply, it was very large. Very, very large and intimidating. It reminded me of a guy’s “part” (this is my first dirty post so the word “part” will have to suffice). It was like, “Wow, that thing is so big and kinda intimidating. How do I deal?” Then, I started to use it. That night, it was so big and scary that I didn’t like it. The next day, I vowed to keep trying and used it again. I got used to the how big it was – kinda like how you would get used to a “part” of a guy if he is exceptionally large. Since then, I love it and look forward to applying it daily!

Will I buy it again? Yes. It makes my eyelashes so long and full – I even received compliments! I also loved how it made my eyelashes feel – conditioned and soft.

I hope you enjoyed my mascara review using a dirty comparision.

Cheers,

Julie

haha. I loved the comparison. It made me gigle.

I think I am going to take your word about this mascara. I have heard great things about it. I recently bought Texas Lash from Sephora. It is very large … but I like larch brushes. I think they make my eye lashes look very long and very black which makes my light eyes stand out even more. Only problem .. it flakes!!! have you had this prob with Dior?

I haven’t had problems with flakes. I suggest you try it and if you don’t like it, I’m sure Sephora would let you take it back. Let me know if you do!

You're hilarious! And it all really made sense, which is what's even funnier. I've used this mascara and LOVED it. I've been using Chanel, but am almost out & think I'll get another tube of this "big" guy.

I’ve used this mascara for a while now and I absolutely love it. It makes my lashes so lushious! And, I love the big brush. Just a few sweeps does the trick! Yes…BIGGER is BETTER. :)

I used to use 2000 Calorie by Max Factor; I got so many compliments on my eyes and lashes asking if they were fake as they looked long and then I couldn’t find this mascara anymore…until I went to Walmart and whalah!!! There it was and it’s only $5…try it out; you will love it better and you can save money too!

Okay – this made me laugh out loud.

It sounds great but I don’t think I could stomach speding $24 on mascara. And I don’t know if the fight with my husband over the price of mascara would be worth the look??

OMG I had the same experience with my Bad Gal mascara by Benefit. And now I am so in love with it!

But your comparison was a little more funny than what went through my head!

I am obsessed with mascara and have tried just about every one out there–I really liked Dior Show, but I couldn’t decide if it was worth spending another twenty four bucks on! I use L’Oreal Voluminous Full Definition and find that it has the same effect for a lot less. After this review I may have to try the Dior again just to see if it can win back my affections ;)

Hilarious comparison! I am not really a fan b/c it I found it too clumpy and leaves smudges under my eyes. I am totally in love with L’oreal Double Extend. It is the only mascara that I’ve found that doesn’t leave black smudges under my eyes. Fun Blog!
