Flying rat pictures (you gotta see it to believe it)

I think these pictures speak for themselves. Back in 2007, Dan and I were determined to get a picture of Maq (Dan’s old rat) flying through the air to Dan’s shoulder. He would only do this with Dan (he was his owner afterall!). It just shows how smart rats are. This is when Maq was young and thriving. He has since past away (RIP). It took us about an hour to get the desired photo (the last one posted here). Please note Dan’s facial expressions and Maq’s buddy’s Mason and Clyde watching closely):

Notice his athletic abilities and the use of his tail. It’s not scary! It’s powerful and helps with balance.

At this point, I’m determined to get a good shot!

SUCCESS! A rattie in the air!

If you can’t tell by this post, I miss having pets so bad! I wish my living situation would allow me to have them again. Next year though! Until then, I will continue to support these animals who are not understood and embraced by most people. This also includes other small animals.
