You know what? Sometimes, a girl just needs a little hiatus. Life has been crazy, but I’ve still been loving every minute of it.
I sit here at 5:30 on Tuesday night waiting for my Stella and Dot party to begin. I don’t host {anything} often, so I am a little nerve racked. Naturally, I am not a good hostess because I have so much anxiety around the situation. I freak out that no one is having fun and that I need to put on a clown outfit and entertain everyone. No matter what I do, this happens all the time.
I cleaned my apartment. In my eyes, it’s spick and span, but I just know that my sister, Melanie, and my mother will find something that is not clean. Where is my younger sister Valerie when I need her? I’m sure she would back me up. {I did not inherit the “clean” gene.}
In order to relieve some of my anxiety, I will consider other parties I’ve been to and compare. I realize that my party won’t be much different so I really need to chill out. Don’t you agree?
I much rather attend parties rather than host them. Unless it’s a pajama party with tons of wine and no expectations. {Is it too late to change this party into a wine and pj party?}.
Anywho, I will let you know how this goes. I’m excited to see friends!

Wish I could be there! I stress out too when hostessing, but I’ve learned that your guests have a much better time if they see you relaxed and having fun too. So pour a glass of wine and take a deep breath…everything will be great!
