My sister and I singing karaoke

Thanks so much for all the support on my last post about CrossFit. The comments and tweets made my heart smile wide.

All day, I’ve wanted to do a happy dance. Maybe it’s the weather, the Vitamin D, or the fact that summer is just around the corner. My last day is at the end of June and then I have the summer off until about mid-August. While I love having summers off (please don’t hate me), I still miss having a routine during the those days. I’m someone who thrives on routine.

For example, I eat really healthy during the day. I’m able to have a good, healthy breakfast (recently hard boiled eggs have been making a frequent appearance) and coffee. For lunch, I pack tons of veggies and some type of main dish like soup or chicken salad. It’s after work, around 4 pm, that is always the problem. Luckily, with my mood being so much better, thanks to the weather, that hasn’t been a huge problem recently.

Speaking of school, check out this nerd:

Yay – I made the yearbook at one of my schools. This is the first time I’ve been in a yearbook not as a student. Such a huge milestone (haha).

Oh and I need to say something…

My little sisters’ 24th birthday was on May 20 and clearly, I suck as an older sister since I’m just posting about it now. To make it up to her and you, my readers, I’ll go ahead and post an embarrassing picture of her. This is Val and I singing karaoke when my mom and I visited her in Chicago last summer.

We were really into it. We sang Whatta Man by En Vogue and Salt-N-Peppa. Yes, there are videos. No, I’m not posting them. Yes, we know all the words.

And hey, if Val is pissed at me for posting this picture, at least I’ll win her heart back when she opens this package for her birthday. In truly belated fashion, I shipped this to her today. She’ll get it next week. I guess I’m not the worst sister in the world, right?

So, today, Todd got pepper sprayed. Yep. For work. Sucks to be him, really. He has a picture of himself right after the pepper spraying on his phone. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen and I think I should post it on the blog sometime. Anyone opposed to this?

Oh and I kissed him. And my lips quickly felt like they were on fire, but not in a good way. Just in case you were curious about what it was like to kiss someone after they were pepper sprayed.

To make him feel better, we went to Menchies. Menchies makes everyone feel better, right? The cashier gave Todd this paper car. I did not get one and was pretty disappointed.

Anywho, happy Thursday! What are your plans for the weekend? I’m going to a couple parties but the most exciting thing is that my apartment pool is opening up tomorrow. Anyone want to come by?

Pepper sprayed?! YIKES. Talk about a job hazard…

And I HIGHLY approve of that karaoke photo. I think that’s gotta be our next Girls Night Out…

Happy holiday weekend, girl!

I know what you mean about the afternoon food issues, I have the same problem. I get home from work a few hours before Kevin, and in that time before dinner I manage to eat everything in the house.

In karaoke news, Whatta Man was on my short list for my first karaoke last month! I’m looking forward to singing with you soon! “Summer Lovin” was a blast at the wedding!
