So, yesterday, I stubbed my toe. My fourth toe (ring toe?) to be exact. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know this because I was a little dramatic.
The whole thing was annoying because as a certifiable Clumsy Person, stubbing my toe or anything related happens quite often. If you look closely at my legs, you will see evidence of this: bruises, cuts, whatever. I wish I had a better story behind most of these injuries, but I don’t. I’m just clumsy.
So, when I stubbed my toe yesterday, it hurt for an instant and then the pain went away. Then, I noticed it changing colors. A small bruise quickly morphed into a dark neon purple that took up most of my little toe.
Yes, I have pictures and don’t worry, I won’t post them.
All this drama happened while cleaning the apartment and making phone calls. Not too exciting. Then, I decided to paint my nails. I was in the mood for a super BRIGHT color and I found this shade which Kimberly gave to me a couple months ago. I plan to wear this color in the fall too. Maybe before a predetermined hectic week at work when I can look down at my nails and smile.
Last night, I went out with my friend Lindsay to celebrate her boyfriend, Matt’s, birthday. We went to Great Lakes. The wait was reallllly long so we started at Bier Markt. Once we were seated at Great Lakes, I ordered their Killbuck Valley Mushroom pizza and it was very tasty and fresh.
My buddy Matt is from South Carolina and now lives in Ohio. The best part about Matt is that the more he drinks, the heavier his accent gets, which is a win-win for everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATT!!!!
Oh, and in case you’re wondering (which, I’m sure you are), my toe was throbbing at dinner! Ouch! Ironically, Lindsay’s friend was a nurse and gave me an anti-inflammatory pill. It worked wonders! It was either that or the beer, but I’m sure it was the pill. This morning, my toe still hurts and is a pretty shade of red. I’m thinking about wearing a red shirt today to match.
I wish I had a great story behind why my toe is pretty much broken (that’s what the nurse said!), but I don’t.
Anyways, I have a lot going on today! Have a wonderful Saturday!
