A Spin on PlayhouseSquare (Cleveland Giveaway!)

Boy ‘o boy do I have a treat for you (and me!) today!

So, I love bike riding. I don’t do it as often as I’d like to but when I’m out there, with the breeze on my face, I feel on top of the world! One time, back in 2008, I went to Israel and the theme of the trip was experiencing Israel on bike. I will never forget that trip.

The best part about bike riding is that you can do it anywhere. Recently, I was contacted help promote Cinema at the Square which is held at PlayhouseSquare in Cleveland.

Cinema at the Square will be held from August 2-19th and they will show 13 films. These are classic films and ones that make me nostalgic! My family loves old movies and I’m really excited about the selection. From The Godfather to Gone With the Wind to Mary Poppins, there is definitely something for everyone. The best part? The tickets are only $5 which makes this budget-ista very pleased. You can also purchase a Flix Tix pass (for 6 shows) for only $15. (Ummm… $15 is still less than going to see one movie with a date!).

They are celebrating their 15th year and looking for new spins (pun intended) on the event. In addition to the cheap tickets, there will also be a special biking promotion! If you bike to a movie, you receive a $2 discount AND there will be a parking spot inside PlayhouseSquare where you can park your bike. The spot is located across from the Ticket Office in the State Theatre lobby.

Pretty sweet, right? Well… guess what?!

(I think you knew this was coming!)

I’m having a giveaway!

The winner will receive 4 vouchers for the movies. Each voucher includes 14 tickets to the movies, in any combination.

Please leave a comment on this post and tell me your favorite movie of all time. I realize this is a tricky question for most, so just tell me one of your top faves!

You have until tonight at 11:59 pm to enter! I will announce the winner Thursday morning. Good luck!

Disclosure: PlaybouseSquare contacted me to promote Cinema at the Square. I think this is a great event and reason to get out and bike! All my opinions are my own and in exchange for this post, I am receiving vouchers to Cinema at the Square.

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Head over to Smitten in Cleveland for another chance to win!

Wow, hard question. But I do love animated films with adult humor— like Finding Nemo and Shrek.

What a cool giveaway, . Thanks for the chance. One of my favorite movies is Grease. I made my mom run out and buy it the day we got a VCR and I ended up wearing out three tapes from watching it so much.

My favorite movie is, “Closer” directed by Mike Nichols. It’s beautifully done and reveals the story to using the characters’ reactions rather than actions – it’s tricky, manipulative, sexual and scary all at the same time. LOVE all the actors in it as well- Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and (sex pot) Clive Owen. MUST SEE.
