My Relationship in Lakewood (Plus Winner!)

in Deep Thoughts,Relationship

Hello everyone!

I had a weird start this morning. I had a super early dentist appointment (no cavities which marks my 28th year in the No Cavity Club!) and then wasn’t feeling well so I slept. Now that I’m awake, I knew I needed to pick the winner for the Cinema on the Square giveaway! I always use Random.Org for these, and Michelle from All Lacquered Up won! Congrats girl!

So, let’s be clear. The reason for my slow start this morning was because Nidhizzle and I decided last minute to go to the bar. We drank some awesome beer and talked about life. Gosh, I love her and, even though I sound like a broken record, you need to follow her Twitter feed because it’s hilarious. It should be turned into a book. Then, a couple beers in, our buddy Ali showed up! This made me extremely happy. I live for random and spontaneous nights.

**********

It’s time for me to open up, you guys. Let’s sit down with some sparkling La Croix and talk opening about life and relationships, mmmmkay?

You know that guy, Todd, I’ve been hanging around with since the holidays? Well, he and I decided to move in together. Starting in October.

Yea, I know. It’s pretty crazy considering we haven’t been together for more than a year yet. But by the time we do move in together, it will be almost a year by that point. In the past, my relationships have progressed very, very, very sloooooow. If I was on the other end and was a reader of this blog post, I’d be shaking my head saying that it was too soon. I’ve done that before with friends. I would listen to them talk about this amazing human that they are dating and how they want to move in together, and I’d try and talk them out of it because it was too soon. But, what I’ve learned in my 28 years is that, no one knows your relationship better than you and your significant other. Right now, it just makes so much sense to move in together.

Todd makes me very happy and we have the ability to balance each other out. On one hand, we’re very different but that allows us to balance each other. We are also similar in many ways, sometimes I have to second guess how similar we are in areas that mean the most. We are having a blast right now and pretty much already live together anyways so things are just going to get better. I am so excited! I am not really a fan of my apartment right now and our new apartment is so spacious! I’ll be able to breathe again (and have many girls nights in, obviously).

We are staying in Lakewood, where we both live right now. For non-Clevelanders, Lakewood is an urban/suburban suburb of Cleveland. Everything is close by and it’s super diverse, which is a huge priority to me. We are right next to Lake Erie and the city of Cleveland is only minutes away.

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Cheers for cohabiting!

P.S. Thoughts, Justin?

I totally get where you’re coming from! It was super, super hesitant to move in with my ex even after several years of dating (which probably should have been a red flag, but that’s a whole different story), but with my current boyfriend we were talking about moving it together in less than a year. (There was some beyond our control delays that have us finally moving in together at the two year mark.) I guess there really is truth to that whole “when you know, you know” cliche!

Congrats on your future cohabitation!

Congrats on the big decision to move in together!!! Very fun.

One thing I have learned recently (thanks to giving a long distance relationship a try) is that everyone has an opinion on it…and isn’t afraid to tell me what that opinion is. You know what’s right for you right now and that’s what matters…everyone else can suck it ;-)

Rick and I were only together for about five months before I up and moved from two states away. We moved right in together, and I never regretted the decision. Five years later, i still love living with him! You always just have to do what feels right in your heart. So happy for you!

Julie, listen. I knew CB for less than ONE month before I moved in with him. We were hinting at it two weeks in. CRAZY! It’s definitely been hard at times. But honestly, being with him has been the best decision of my life.

I had no response for people when they asked “why?” I mean, I had my blanket response, but not something that sounded very convincing. I just knew, the minute I placed my eyes on him, that he was the one. I hate saying stuff like that because shit could fall apart…I’m aware of that…but what I felt between with man felt so real. And I knew it two weeks in. If you feel that with Todd, go for it. Whether it “works out” or not, you’re going to learn a lot. And it sounds like he’s real good for you. Which you really deserve.

The thing with love is that you have to take chances. You have to sacrifice. Without either, it’s dull. I’m so glad you’re taking this chance. You know how to trust your gut. So do that. :)

Thank you! This comment is so thought provoking and really says a lot about what I’m thinking. Trusting my gut is a huge part of this. Miss you!

Congratulations! That’s awesome news! Matthew and I had been together about 5 months when we decided to move in together and almost 9 months when we actually did move in. There’s no right amount of time, except what feels right for you guys. Besides, look at how it worked out for us ;-)

Really happy for you. It’s always hard to open up and trust again after you’ve been hurt. This is a big leap of faith and I’m proud of you for taking it.

I recently saw a testimony about this spell caster, before that, my problem was that, A guy i who have been dating me for 8 months departed from me because he fell in love with someone else, I was so hurt and depressed. so a friend suggested the idea of contacting a spell caster, which I never thought of myself. after i contacted dr.marnish@yahoo.com for his help. I asked him to do a love spell for me so that my lover can come back to me, but before the spell was done, I was a bit skeptical about his capacity to bring my man back to me. Only 3 days after the spell was actually cast, my lover returned to me and since then, it seems that there is no more mistrust and no more lies between us. He doesn’t cheat me now. Also, I feel no heartache anymore For that reason, I will never forget the good Dr Manish did to me, there is no word to say how grateful I am for returning my lover back to me, I am gladly leaving a testimonial on this page,
