I had a weird start this morning. I had a super early dentist appointment (no cavities which marks my 28th year in the No Cavity Club!) and then wasn’t feeling well so I slept. Now that I’m awake, I knew I needed to pick the winner for the Cinema on the Square giveaway! I always use Random.Org for these, and Michelle from All Lacquered Up won! Congrats girl!
So, let’s be clear. The reason for my slow start this morning was because Nidhizzle and I decided last minute to go to the bar. We drank some awesome beer and talked about life. Gosh, I love her and, even though I sound like a broken record, you need to follow her Twitter feed because it’s hilarious. It should be turned into a book. Then, a couple beers in, our buddy Ali showed up! This made me extremely happy. I live for random and spontaneous nights.
It’s time for me to open up, you guys. Let’s sit down with some sparkling La Croix and talk opening about life and relationships, mmmmkay?
You know that guy, Todd, I’ve been hanging around with since the holidays? Well, he and I decided to move in together. Starting in October.
Yea, I know. It’s pretty crazy considering we haven’t been together for more than a year yet. But by the time we do move in together, it will be almost a year by that point. In the past, my relationships have progressed very, very, very sloooooow. If I was on the other end and was a reader of this blog post, I’d be shaking my head saying that it was too soon. I’ve done that before with friends. I would listen to them talk about this amazing human that they are dating and how they want to move in together, and I’d try and talk them out of it because it was too soon. But, what I’ve learned in my 28 years is that, no one knows your relationship better than you and your significant other. Right now, it just makes so much sense to move in together.
Todd makes me very happy and we have the ability to balance each other out. On one hand, we’re very different but that allows us to balance each other. We are also similar in many ways, sometimes I have to second guess how similar we are in areas that mean the most. We are having a blast right now and
pretty much already live together anyways so things are just going to get better. I am so excited! I am not really a fan of my apartment right now and our new apartment is so spacious! I’ll be able to breathe again (and have many girls nights in, obviously).
We are staying in Lakewood, where we both live right now. For non-Clevelanders, Lakewood is an urban/suburban suburb of Cleveland. Everything is close by and it’s super diverse, which is a huge priority to me. We are right next to Lake Erie and the city of Cleveland is only minutes away.
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Cheers for cohabiting!
