First off, please head over to Crystal’s blog to read my guest post about the skeeball league in Cleveland! I had so much fun writing it!
This weekend was ALL about birthday celebrations! It was such a blast! Val was in town from Chicago which made it even more special.
Thursday night kicked it off and my dad took my sisters, my bro-in-law, and niece and nephew out to dinner. We went to Hibachi Japan in Cuyahoga Falls and it was very good.
This is the best picture we could get because Liam kept doing funny faces for the camera… Oh, the life of a 4 year old.
He ordered orange juice and when he saw another table get a fancy drink with an umbrella, he requested one of those too. He’s like 4 going on 24.
THE BEST PART of the night was when the cook lit up the table for the first time. Liam turned away and cried… then 2 seconds later, was laughing. I love how Violet is like, “Yea, whatever.”
Friday night will go down in history as one of the best girls’ nights I’ve had in awhile. You see, one day, Ali gchatted me and asked if I wanted to do a joint birthday celebration in downtown Cleveland. Her birthday is August 15 and mine is August 7, so the JuliAli Birthday Bash was created! We decided to go a little crazy and go out on West 6th, something I rarely do, but it was extremely worth it. The best part was that both of my sisters were present, which is another rare occasion! We started out at Dewey’s pizza… mmmm I love their pizza!
I stole this from Ali’s Facebook page… I just had to post it because she looked so cute! (Always does!).
It was such a blast!
On Saturday, I headed to Hudson for more family time! I was exhausted from the night before, but it was worth it and totally low key. My mom cooked us a feast of pulled pork, artichoke dip, deviled eggs, and other treats.
Thanks, Mom! I love you!
Cute photo, but I look exhausted.
Artichoke dip right out of the oven? Yes. Please.
Then, cookie cake happened, which is my favorite thing ever.
A card from Liam and Violet <3
What a fabulous weekend! Guess what? Todd comes home this week! I’m so excited to see him. For some reason, this trip has seemed a lot longer than his previous ones. I miss him so much!
Sooooo… it’s time to announce the winner of my Murad giveaway!
