My head is a jumbled mess of random things going on (hence the title of this post). Therefore let’s have this post be a jumbled mess, mmmm kay?
Here are five random thoughts for this lovely Friday:
…is totally on my mind right now. Isn’t it for you too? I know it’s still mid-August, but I can’t help but covet certain things. For example, at the end of last fall/winter, I told myself to buy some black boots. There were so many outfits I wore where black boots would be perfect. I like the Laraway boots from Aldo… but who knows. I just want something like these:
In addition to boots, I desperately need a new work bag. I predict I’ll be bringing a lot of work home this year and since I’ll be working with multiple buildings at my job, a useful bag is needed. Last year, I always felt disorganized because I didn’t have one! The problem is that I’m so damn picky about bags. I don’t buy them often (my last purchase was in 2008) and they are often expensive and therefore, have good quality. But, even so, I’m pickyand thrifty and believe I can find good quality for a deal. Any suggestions?
During my search (I love, love, love ASOS, thanks to Michelle‘s recommendation) and found the Liquorish Tote Bucket Bag (on sale for $59.61!). It’s pretty slouchy, which I like and big enough for all my stuff. Thoughts?
Then, like the universe was talking to me, I spotted the Loungefly Washed Embossed Skull Bag while stalking people on Facebook. It was a side ad and I really like it! It’s only $65 plus I think I have a 20% off coupon. What do you think?
Ever since I dropped my keys down the elevator shaft…
…I’ve been SUPER CAREFUL WHEN TAKING ELEVATOR RIDES. I hold onto my keys so tightly, it’s unreal. I still get jitters thinking about that night.
You really should…
…check out Why CLE’s giveaway for Locavore which benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. This is a fundraiser which will benefit MS. It looks like a really fun event and it’s for a great cause.
I’m really loving…
…NPR. I’ve been listening to 90.3 ever since learning about it from tons of blogger friends. The calming voices and knowledgeable conversations keep me coming back for more. NPR is perfect for my after work commute when I’m so tired I don’t want to even hear music. It’s quite a joy and I just wish I discovered it earlier.
…Todd and I met my mom at Bahama Breeze for dinner and drinks. We had such a good experience at the happy hour that we just knew it would be a good choice for dinner. Here’s the thing: I really like Bahama Breeze because their food is awesome. I also like the vibe… it really does feel like you’re not in Ohio! However, last night, our service was really, really slow which was annoying since they weren’t too busy and I felt like there were a ton of people working! And the waitress’s table manners were kind of odd… I hope it was just that one time!
Aside from that, they did do something pretty cool. I asked the waitress what she thought of their black bean soup and she asked if I wanted to try it. She brought out a little tasting which I thought was super cute. I know many restaurants will let you sample items, like beer, but I rarely see it for food. It was a welcomed gesture and I ended up ordering the soup.
I hope you have a wonderful Friday! Enjoy it and live in the moment. <3
