Yelping for Ballet in Cleveland

Hi guys!

Tonight was Yelp’s Ultimate Science Fair Event! This is my second Yelp event {the last one was in February}. I heard about the event from Roxanne who is an Elite Yelper. Basically, if you participate on their community often {sharing business reviews and tips}, you can become part of their Elite crowd which entitles you to special benefits. I’m no where near Elite status, but I appreciate the community. Tonight was one of their events where everyone was welcome! I was thankful to Roxanne for sharing it with me.

Katie was my date for the night and we had a blast. Yelp really knows how to throw a good party. They always keep you entertained and there was so much to do and try. Not to mention, since it was held at the Cleveland Science Center, we could play with the exhibits.

The beneficiary of tonights event was Ballet in Cleveland {have you checked out their new website? It’s gorgeous!} They are striving to bring back the presence of ballet in the great city of Cleveland. Plus, they are some of the nicest people ever.

Tonights’ event had a ton of different food, drink, and beauty venders. {Check out the Yelp event page for the full list}.

Jessica is the founder of Ballet in Cleveland and is one of the sweetest people ever. I love her!

I really enjoyed the diversity and passion of the people at the party. It was a blast.

And then there was henna. I love, love, love henna so we had to give it a whirl tonight. I think the last time I had henna was at my friends’ Mehendi party! Henna Me was quick and everyone’s henna was detailed and beautiful.

 After getting henna, we played.

Katie made a comment about how much she liked how everyone was doing something. No one was really standing around, but that’s just how Yelp events are! I also think having the event at the science center had something to do with that.

Then, we saw that Sweetie Fry set up and I had to try the french toast ice cream. Ah-mazing.

Next, Ballet in Cleveland had a special dance for the crowd with a Cleveland theme. The energy was spot on and they were great.

The last thing we did was go to the photo booth. We each got two souvenirs {plus our henna!} to take home.

It was a fun way to spend a Thursday. I think I need to start Yelping more so I can become Elite! :-)

Also, if you are interested in supporting Ballet in Cleveland {you should!}, check out their website to learn about ways to donate and upcoming events.

TGIF!

This actually looks really really fun! And I also love Henna! What was the symbol you got? I am going to have to watch for events like this!
