This is How I Roll

Hi pals!

Today is my FRIDAY! Can I get a woot-woot?! Yep, I’m feeling good. A two day week is just what the doctor ordered, plus the weather has been tame all week. I have a lot to cram into Tuesday so I feel comfortable going into the extra long weekend, but soon, pumpkin pie and I will be reunited. Pumpkin pie is my favorite dessert of all time. It’s so important to me that I will only eat it a couple times a year during the holidays and savor every bite topped with whipped cream.

So, this weekend was super fun. Friday night, I went over to Crystal’s house for her Stella & Dot party. Since I was working (and socializing) I didn’t take a lot of pictures, but holy cow did she cook a lot of food. In fact, if you want to try one of her recipes, check out her guest post today about Pretzel Crusted Chocolate Chip Cookie Squares.

Saturday night, Todd played in the Skeeball Playoffs on his team, Team Awesome. They won the Thursday night Lakewood Skeeball League and as a result, were invited to the Playoffs, which are always a good time {I am an Official Cheerleader}.

Coach/Team Captain Justin wore a special shirt for the occasion.

The best part about playoffs is the people watching, the {amazing} bar food, and the prizes!

They are really good about replenishing the food as the night goes on.

Each player is entered into a raffle for prizes as the night progresses. iPods, TVs, GPSs, etc were all up for grabs!

After Skeeball Playoffs, we were off to Solon to celebrate Sarah‘s 30th birthday! I feel like every time we hang out with Sarah and her husband Kevin, we end up having way too much fun and staying over super late! We didn’t leave until 2 am if that tells you anything… so much fun! Oh and, like Crystal, Sarah cooked a TON of delicious food. Between the two of them, I ate a lot this weekend! I’m not complaining!

Yesterday was my dad’s birthday and we celebrated it on Sunday night. Happy birthday DAD! Liam decorated the table with party hats and noise makers. Haha.

Nate cooked a wonderful lasagna (using flat bread… so.good.) and we had Cooker Girl cake for dessert! This is the second time I’ve ordered a cake from Sarah for my family and it was amazing as always. The last time was for Liam‘s birthday, which was a really cute dump truck cake! I also was lucky enough to try another Cooker Girl cake for Amanda‘s birthday (a she-Hulk cake for her superhero birthday party!). For my dad’s cake, I requested a golf theme and as much chocolate as she could do. My dad LOVES chocolate and this cake was so rich and moist. My sister and I were eating it and realized we needed milk – it was that chocolatey! My dad loved it and we all can’t wait to order more from her.
