Weekend Anticipation and Giving Back to the Military

Hi you guys!

I have LOTS of random things to share today, so please bear with me.

Have you ever had one of those days that will go down in history as a turning point in your life? Today was that day for a couple reasons. I finally got the guts to do something that I’ve been meaning to do for awhile and it was worth it. In addition to that, I got back in touch with someone who is extremely important to me. While I don’t feel comfortable about blogging it {yet}, just know that it took guts and I think the results will be amazing. Sorry to be all cryptic-like, if you’r e curious just email me.

What else is new? Well, this weekend is going to be super low-key. Friday night will be a Girls Night In watching cheesy holiday movies (Love Actually and The Holiday) and drinking La Croix out of wine glasses. On Saturday, Todd and I are going out to dinner with his mom and step dad to one of my favorite restaurants that I learned about through them. YUM. I think this time I may do a full review. The only ever times I’ve been there was when I first started dating Todd, which is a little strange to pull out the camera in the middle of an intimate restaurant with his parents, you know?

After I typed the above paragraph, I just realized that it’s only Tuesday and I’m already looking forward to the weekend. Um…

Anyways… I’ve had a few of my friends email, tweet, or text me pictures of them in Stella & Dot jewelry! They are so cute I wanted to share.

1. Here’s my friend, Brittany and her pal Sammie. Brittany loves my Bianca Tassel Necklace so much that I gave it to her to wear for the evening. At her trunk show last weekend, she was joking and asked if I rented out my jewelry. I just gave it to her for the night since I didn’t think I would be needing in for my low-key Saturday night! :-)

 2. Next, my Twitter pal Jennifer ordered some holiday goodies recently (and took advantage of all the sales we have right now) and tweeted me this box picture. I LOVE the packaging… it’s pretty amazing and perfect for gifting.

 3. Lastly, my friend Brandi (the Shakeology queen) sent me this picture of her necklaces with her new Revival Tassel Necklace, which is on sale for $39.50 (marked down from $79!). I am kinda jealous of everyone who gets to take advantage of this baby on sale. I bought it for full price back when I was a customer and would die for the current price. It’s one of my favorite pieces and goes with everything.

Also, just an FYI, Stella & Dot is having a few December promotions right now that you may be interested in. I know that I love sales, saving money, and giving back to the community, so I’m guessing you do too. If you want to shop. visit this link!

Stella & Dot Buy One, Gift One

Between November 27 and December 17, if you purchase a fixed charm pendant (like the inspirational Soar necklace), Stella & Dot will donate an accessory to military service women and family members. So. nice. Gestures like this is why I love S&D so much! I think this promotion is so important. Military service men and women do so much for us every day. They risk their lives, they give up precious time with their families and so many other sacrifices. This buy one gift one is so much more than jewelry. It’s giving a gift of a smile… the person who gets an accessory will probably have their day made.

Dot Dollars

For Dot Dollars, for every $50 you spend, you then get $25 to spend in January (when the new spring line comes out!). It’s like you get paid to shop. Plus, Stella & Dot has never had a promotion like this before! Check out this cute video about Dot Dollars:

Anyways, I hope all is well with you. :-) Have a wonderful hump day!

xo,

Julie

Girls Night In is going to be fabulous! NPR’s morning edition was talking about Love Actually this morning. Can’t wait to catch up with you, busy girl.
