Top Moments of Holiday Break, Part 2

Hi all!

I’m zonked. Is anyone else feeling similar? I think it’s because I was off on holiday break and bam, I’m back at work. It’s hard to get adjusted again!

So, where were we? Ah, yes, my holiday break!

Cavs Game

Todd’s dad got us tickets to the December 28th Cavs game in a section where there was unlimited food and drinks. It was pretty sweet!

It was also Anderson Varejao Wig Night. Every got a wig and it was quite humorous looking at everyone wearing them. Todd and I kept ours… future Halloween costumes? You never know.

There was even free dessert and a sundae bar. :-)

Hanging with Todd’s Family

That weekend, we headed to Todd’s mom’s house to celebrate one last Christmas. The beauty of having so many different people to visit is that it draws out the holiday even longer! Todd’s family has a tradition of opening gifts while wearing a Santa hat. When he told me about this at Target before driving over, I immediately found this small purple Santa (elf?) hat as a headband. Since I work in the schools, I figured it would be a good $2 investment. I could wear it while opening gifts and next year at school!

Wine was consumed. Todd’s step dad really knows his wine. This was wonderful. I wish I could explain how wine tastes, but I’m not good at that. It wasn’t dry and not too sweet. It was juuuuuust right. Make sense? Yea, didn’t think so.

La Croix + lime + berries

I don’t know why, but I love this picture of Todd. It makes me giggle.

It’s always so much fun hanging out with his family! I feel like we laugh theentire time which is always a good thing. Exchanging presents was also a blast! They were so generous to me and I think they liked what I got them too :-)

HollaDays

Oh, HollaDays… What can I say about you? Well, HollaDays is an annual event hosted by Lisa and Alexa. It’s New Year’s Eve Eve (December 30) and such a blast. This was my first year going and when I saw teaser photos of naked baby angel dolls on Instagram, I just knew this was going to be a fun and interesting night :-)

See? Creepy babies. All in good fun :-)

It was held at Mahall‘s in Lakewood, Ohio and it was a blast! Everyone was so nice and I met a ton of new people.

New Years Eve

Ahhhhh… New Years Eve… one of my favorite nights ever. NYE’s are always magical to me. I love staying up late so actually having an excuse to stay awake is always welcomed in my book. Last NYE, we went to our friends house {Justin and Sam} and this year was no different. I made homemade popcorn in a brown grocery bag and my guacamole.

At midnight, we toasted to 2013. #TeamAwesome drank out of their trophy.

The next day, I came down with my sickness and I’m finally feeling better as of Monday. You know what’s funny? On NYE, I was telling someone that I never get sick yadda yadda yadda… I completely jinxed myself!

Happy Hump Day!

What a lovely holiday! Good thing you didn’t get sick until afterwards.

Love the “best things come to those who do” quote!!!

Glad you had a great holiday season! Between celebrating with Kevin’s family, traveling to be with my family and hosting NYE our holidays get extended too.

I really have to try that method of making popcorn. You’re the second person this week to mention it!
