A Facial with a Side of Chipotle

Do you guys ever get facials?

I’ve had a few in my life. Personally, I’m not someone to indulge myself all the time because of the cost and time behind it. Really though, I think it’s so important to indulge and relax every once in awhile. A few months ago, I purchased a Living Social deal for a Pumpkin Facial from Revelations in Lakewood, Ohio. I honestly kept forgetting about it until I realized the deal was going to expire soon! Quickly, I called and made an appointment for Tuesday afternoon.

I’ve been to Revelations before for a haircut and was thoroughly impressed with my previous experience (um, can we discuss that I haven’t had a haircut since August?! YIKES). When I walked in, I waited a few minutes untilĀ Tabitha retrieved me. We went in the back to the spa waiting room. She offered me some tea (which was DELICIOUS) and I chilled out until it was time for my facial!

The thing personally love about facials is that I can enjoy them. I’m actually a super ticklish person. Just ask my family or my boyfriend. It’s pretty ridiculous and not even funny sometimes because I hate it so much (especially on my feet. DO NOT GET NEAR MY FEET, OK?!). Being a ticklish person makes receiving spa treatments really difficult. For example, when I get a pedicure, I primarily get one done for the result and the result only. I love how my feet feel and look afterwards, but during, I’m a hot mess just hoping that the person won’t accidentally touch the bottom of my feet. Sometimes, even after I tell them to PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF MY FEET, they do it anyways because they carelessly forget. I giggle and try to laugh, privately cursing the entire decision to get a pedicure in the first place. Sometimes, it’s pure torture. That’s why IĀ love facials because I can ENJOY them and not worry about my little tickle-tickle issue.

Once I was called into the facial room (is that even a term?), the lights were dim and there was soft music playing. I undressed at the top and was told to lie on my back with the blanket covering me. The rest was luxurious history…

Tabitha was amazing and the hour flew by… I feel like I even nodded off at some point. My skin felt so good and I felt so pampered. I left the salon feeling an amazing GLOW! I highly recommend Tabitha at Revelations Salon & Spa in Lakewood! She was so professional and made me feel at ease. I cannot wait to book another appointment with her.

Afterwards, I went and picked up Chipotle for takeout. A chicken bowl to go, please…

What a lovely night :-) I have some work to do and a stressful week ahead, but I feel at ease and that’s priceless.

I love having a serious facial every three months. And always up for trying new place. The extractions are my favorite and all at the same the worse part. I need a good few hours for my face to calm the hell down.
