Hello everyone!

I hope you all are doing well. Since I returned from my Florida trip, a lot has happened and therefore, I’ve been really busy and a little overwhelmed with life {in a good way!}. I have so much to blog about and therefore, my Florida trip is going to be posted in a series. This was quite the memorable trip for me and I want a good online scrapbook of the whole thing.

**********

Todd left for Florida a few days earlier than I did. He was a groomsmen in his friend Shane’s wedding that following weekend and got there earlier to participate in groomsmen activities… bachelor party, golfing, etc. It worked out for me since I worked until June 18th. On June 19th, I was on the plane headed to Florida.

Todd picked me up at the airport and we were off to Placida, Florida. His mom and step dad {Karen and Tom} have a place in Placida so we met them there for a few days before the wedding in Naples.

As soon as we arrived, we went on their boat for a fun ride and the following day, we went fishing.

Todd and Tom both caught two fishes, and I caught three {yesssss}. It was catch and release and we had such a fun morning.

Me and my snook. That thing was really hard to catch – I felt like I almost fell in trying to get it.

Towards the end of our trip, it started getting dark and cloudy so we headed back.

It was such a fun morning! This was the first time I went deep sea fishing and really enjoyed myself.

Later that day, Todd’s brother and his brother’s girlfriend {Steve and Vanessa} arrived. While Todd and Steve were at the bachelor party, we had the best Thai food at the most random place. The Sand Trap Sports Bar & Grill is a sports bar that happens to have both an American and Thai menu. This is seriously a hidden gem. If you walked by the place, it’s hard to imagine they would have amazing Thai food!

I ordered the Panang Curry and it was incredible. Let’s just say, if it was socially acceptable to lick my plate, I would have.

The next day, we drove to Naples for Shane and Darlene’s wedding festivities. The dress rehearsal was really fun! The food was great and there was a casual atmosphere of friends and families meeting and reuniting.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Darlene and Shane were both glowing the entire time. I am so happy for them and wish them life long happiness. <3

The reception was such a blast! There was a ton of dancing, lots of socializing, and just all around fun. Little did I know, that this was all a gigantic foreshadow for what was to happen a week or two later… :-)

Later that day, we arrived back in Placida to have one last boat ride before Steve and Vanessa headed back home and Tom and Karen headed back to Ohio.

Tom trusted me to drive the boat {muhahahahaha} and it was so much fun!

It was seriously a BLAST and there was a lot more to come! Hint, hint: DISNEY!
