Florida, Part 3: Kayaking in Placida

Before I go into Part 3 of our Florida trip, I first wanted to say a friendly HELLO to anyone I may meet at BlogHer this weekend. I am here for the week, visiting my sister, Valerie, and friend, Nidhi. It’s my first time attending a BlogHer conference and I’m just a tad nervous and overwhelmed :-) Registration is tonight and I’m so excited! If you are reading this and attending BlogHer, please let me know – I would love to meet you and make new blogging friends.

After Disney, Todd and I headed back to Placida, Florida to stay at his mom’s house for a couple days. Soon, we would be heading to Siesta Key for some lazy beach time. His mom and step dad have kayaks so we decided to take them out one day. The best part is seeing a ton of wildlife, including dolphins.

See that little guy in this picture? I wish I could have gotten a better shot!

It was really fun and a nice arm workout :-) Plus, the scenery is GORGEOUS in Florida.

The night before leaving for Siesta Key, we had some wine on the back lanai overlooking the marina. My favorite part about our relationship is the talks we have about whatever. This talk in particular centered on what we want in the next couple years, and when we got back to Ohio… aka, our future, without being too specific. It was an ironic conversation considering what was to come…

More on Monday. <3
