Hello!

Hi blog world!

It’s Christmas Day and I am at home with the flu. My temperature of 102 started yesterday and I’ve been a mess ever since. Isn’t that a great way to spend the holidays? It goes without saying that I’m super bummed that I am home ill.

So, the White Elephant in the room: I haven’t blogged since August! I really have no explanation other than I must have needed time away from social media. After blogging for almost 6 years, needing a break was expected. Every time I went to pick up my computer to blog, I felt like nothing would come out of me. I needed time to relax, get acquainted with my new job, and enjoy  time with my amazing fiancé. Todd is officially in the Coast Guard Reserves and therefore isn’t gone all the time anymore. It’s really nice having him home.

My job is going really well! It’s a lot more exhausting than I realized but I love it. I feel like I’ve found my “calling” and going to work everyday is a joy.

That’s it for now, I just wanted to pop in and say “Merry Christmas!” I hope to be back on a regular blogging schedule again soon. Until then, I hope you enjoy your holidays!

xoxo,

Julie

Merry Christmas!! Sorry you are sick. We’re mostly sick as well (although only Max has a fever). Hope you feel better soon and that we’ll all super healthy in Christmas 2014 (and even NYE 2013)!

I was happy to see your blog pop up on my reader :) I am sorry you’re not feeling well. I spent most of January with the flu and the aftermath, I hope you get lots of rest!!!! No fun at all.
