Come See My New Design!

What do you think of my new design? (Google Readers come to my website to see it, please!) Thank you Design Girl!

As you know, I’ve been in a funk for the past week. That is slowly but surely changing for the better. Thanks to my  friends and family, and to my readers (your comments made me so happy!). I’m realizing that I love blogging but I was having trouble finding my nitch. Why do I blog? What do I have to say? I’ve decided that I’m just not going to think about it too much and really say what I feel at the time. I put way too much pressure on myself.

I am still unemployed. However, I pledge to stay more optimistic about this fact. I need to take advantage of the time I have! Now, I would like to share some pictures/experiences I’ve had recently that I haven’t mentioned on my blog yet!

Last weekend, I went home to Ohio to celebrate the Little Man’s (Liam, my nephew) FIRST BIRTHDAY. Oh yes. The next series of pictures I will call: “Cake”

All in all it was a great time! I love seeing my family and Liam always brightens my day.

Last night, Dan and I went to a wedding to see my friend Rachel wed. It was a beautiful wedding right in DC (about a block from the White House!). The food was AMAZING. I think the food was the best part for sure. When we left the ceromony, we walked into another room where the waiters and waitresses had tons of drinks for us to choose from (apple martini’s – bride’s favorite, champagne with strawberry’s in the glass, wine, beer, etc!). The appetizers included lobster bisque, brie, another cheese, bread, crab cakes, chicken, fruit tarts, and others. I felt spoiled to say the least! Here are some pictures from last night:

It was so much fun except for the fact that I kiiiiinda did something to my foot. Nothing actually happened though. I remember standing at the wedding and I felt a sharp pain through my ankle and into my foot. Then I couldn’t walk too well! I still danced like an idiot but it was difficult because I was wobbling everywhere. By the time we got home my foot was throbbing and I was in such terrible pain. Dan played nurse and elevated my foot and iced it. This morning it still hurt so I called my mom and she said it could be a stress fracture which means I have to stay off it for 4-6 weeks. Not cool dude – especially since I run! I guess I’ll be swimming a bunch this summer, huh?
