Wearing Design Week: The Design Girl (PLUS a discount!)

Hi everyone!
I hope you are enjoying Wearing Design Week. I’m not gonna lie – it gives me a chance to show off some serious “blog bling” on my website. Nerdy? Yes. Oh yes. Tonight I’d like to feature The Design Girl also known as Danielle and the chick who runs her personal blog, Well, That’s Just Fabulous. She is also the master-mind behind my header and some other awesome blogs and many more.
Her blogs are always clean and fresh. I love her personal blog because it is summer. I want to be that girl – hanging out in the beautiful weather drinking a cocktail – don’t you? As a designer, all her blogs are clean and sleek and she will help you find what you’re looking for. In addition to blog designing, she recently started a stationary line! Here are some of my favorites:
Cute right? Here is Danielle’s answers to some of the questions I asked about designing:
Why did you choose those colors?
The design was initially yellow with pink font. It was bright and cheery, but the colors just weren’t “me.” I started getting sick of the color scheme, so I changed the colors recently.
Why did you pick that design?
I love this girl, and the design felt very “LA” to me. I also love the fact that I was able to animate the bubbles in the drink. The animation is very subtle, but cute and different.
Did you use a blog designer or did you do it yourself? Why?
I designed the blog myself. I am The Design Girl, after all. 
How would it look if I didn’t do my own blog? I am a blog (and stationery & digital scrapbook kit) designer.
Do you have any advice for bloggers about their design?
Personally, I am not a fan of the standard blogger template. If you are going to use one, I’d say go with minima since it’s so clean and simple.
When I first started blogging, I spent months researching code and playing in Photoshop. I was a student back then, and had the time to put into it. Four months later, I (sort of) knew what I was doing, and designed my first blog. Keep in mind that my designs were nothing like they are now.
It definitely took a good year before my designs were good, and I am still learning new things all the time. If you don’t have the time to learn to do it, there are people that you can hire, like me.
Way to shamelessly plug myself. Right?
