Today, I decided to venture over to Ohio to visit my family for the night. For two hours, my mom and I watched Project Runway reruns and then I went over to my sister’s house for dinner. I was in charge of dessert and since I’m trying to watch what I’m eating, I decided to try a variation of a Hungry-Girl recipe I found recently:
Buy some waffle bowls (preferably around 50 calories).

Pour low fat chocolate syrup in the bowl and swirl it around so it covers the bottoms and the sides.

Freeze them for about 30 minutes or more.

Then, viola! You have a frozen waffle bowl covered in low fat chocolaty goodness just ready for slow churned, low fat ice cream! Personally, I had ice cream, fat free Reddi wip, and cherries. The recipe on the Hungry-Girl website suggests mixing frozen strawberries and sugar-free strawberry preserves to make a strawberry sauce. I think that would be delicious but for today, we stuck with the basics. The total calorie count was about 200 calories. It will depend on the brand you buy for the various ingredients. They were so tasty that I completely forgot to take a picture of the final result! Yum. This little guy really enjoyed them too (just the ice cream part!):

That’s all for now! Happy weekend everyone.
