Today, I am inspired to write a “what I’m thankful for” post.
I am writing this because I have recently had some financial drawbacks and as a result, I’ve been struggling a little. Sometimes, I just need to realize that everything will be okay. There are many things to look forward to and be thankful for. Here’s what I’m thankful for:
- I’m thankful to be alive with the ability to have drawbacks
- I’m thankful for my family (Mom, Dad, Melanie, Valerie, Nate, Liam)
- I’m thankful for Dan’s family (Dan, his mom, his dad, Amy, Ben)
- I’m thankful for the few, yet mighty, friends who I can always rely on
- I’m thankful for Dan
- I’m thankful for the “virtual/bloggy” friends I’ve met through this blog. You’ve become my real friends.
- I’m thankful for this blog
- I’m thankful to have food to eat
- I’m thankful to have the motivation to succeed and do the best I can in life
- I’m thankful for my literacy and to have had parents who taught me well and read to me early on
- I’m thankful for my love for animals
- I’m thankful for technology (although, sometimes it’s not the best thing!)
- I’m thankful for warm clothes to wear during the dreadful Pittsburgh winters
- I’m thankful for the ability to work
- I’m thankful for this beautiful country I live in and for the freedom
Those are just a few things. I have many more deep within my heart but for now, that’s what I’ll share. I hope you all are doing well tonight! It’s a big night of television.
Here’s my lineup (I’ll be DVRing a lot of it!):
- Biggest Loser (Such motivation to lose weight!)

- The Little Couple (if you haven’t watched this yet, I highly recommend it! It’s so charming and cute.)

- V (A new show about aliens!)

- Tabitha’s Salon Takeover (The salon bitch is back. I love her.)

- The Hills (Yes, I still watch)

- The City (I love this show. It’s sad but true.)

What are you watching?
hugs,
Julie

Awww… I love your Thankful list! There is so much to be thankful for.
I’m with you on The Hills, it’s really good. It’s even better now the Kristin is back. I love Greek, Gossip Girl, The Hills, Top Chef, and Leave it to Lamas.

I almost did the exact same post today Julie! I’ve been feeling very ‘blah’ recently and I needed shaking up.
I’m also loving the Hills & the City at the moment… very very trashy and oh so enjoyable!
I’d really recommend the dvd series of the Wire – best thing on tv ever in my opinion.
And if you get a chance search on you tube for ‘Katie – my beautiful face’ for an amazing documentary.

A thankful list is great! Sometimes when I think that life just can’t get any worse, I remember that I have a HEALTHY child, a loving family, a roof over my head and a job that puts $ in the bank.

I want to watch V but I just don’t think I have the time for another show, even with DVR I am weeks behind!

I watch way too much TV (thanks to DVR!) but can’t-miss shows are Glee, the Office, 30 Rock, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The City, The Hills, Parks and Recreation, and Project Runway. I just started watching Tabitha’s Takeover. She is one tough cookie!
Didn’t know the Little Couple was an actual show…I think I saw their special on TLC a couple years ago. Will have to watch!
